ART + NATURE + WELLNESS
The Creative Soul Sanctuary is a private 1.5-acre garden, art park and gathering space for creatives, healers, educators, and community in SoCal/ Riverside County. Through events, workshops, artist residencies, retreats and nature experiences, we connect with the land, spirit, and community. This regenerative art project is transforming the land into a living collaboration between nature, creativity, culture, healing and play. Community is invited to down, move, make, learn, laugh, reconnect, and center wellness. We are NOT open to the public. PRIVATE EVENTS = limited capacity + RSVP/ guest list + no walk-ins.
EXPLORE THE SANCTUARY
KNUCKLEHEAD BOTANICAL GARDENS 🌿
Reconnect with nature while exploring 100+ species of plants, trees, flowers and herbs across the 1.5-acre property. Wander through California native, tropical and globally inspired landscapes, smell more than a dozen aromatic and medicinal herbs, and watch a young garden continue to grow and change with every season.. The Sanctuary is also the beginning of a regenerative art and food forest ecosystem. Fruit trees, edible plants, herbs, pollinator plants and ecological landscaping are being developed together as an evolving experiment in growing food, restoring habitat and creating beauty on the land.
POND, STREAM + WATERFALL ⛲
Follow the sound of moving water to a garden pond, stream and waterfall surrounded by plants and gathering spaces. Sit beside the waterscape to read, meditate, talk, make music or simply slow down and let the sound of the water do some of the work.
CRYSTAL + SAND LABYRINTH 🌀
Take a meditative walk through our 75-foot sand labyrinth, created with hundreds of crystals and cowrie shells. The four directions and elements are honored through Lapis Lazuli for Air/East, Tiger Eye for Fire/South, Amethyst for Water/West and Tourmaline for Earth/North; for an even more grounding experience, remove your shoes and feel the sand and earth beneath your feet.
CREATIVE ACRE TRAIL👣
Explore the 1,000+ foot trail that loops through the Sanctuary, botanical gardens and creative spaces. Walk slowly, observe wildlife, discover art, reflect beneath the trees or explore the trail by bicycle as the landscape changes around you.
MOVEMENT + MEDITATION PATIO 🧘🏾
Our elevated wood patio is a gathering place for dance, yoga, meditation, drumming, movement and creative practice, framed by views of the mountains, trees and pond. At sunset, the patio becomes one of the most dramatic places on the property as the light changes across the valley and surrounding mountains.
COURTYARD, GAZEBO + FIRE PIT🔥
The courtyard, gazebo and fire spaces are designed for gathering rather than rushing. Share stories, food, music, laughter, tea, reflection and community around the fire beneath the night sky.
500+ FOOT MURAL PROJECT 🎨
The Sanctuary itself is a canvas. A growing mural project will eventually stretch more than 500 feet along the property's fences, combining large-scale art, cultural symbolism, color and contributions from resident and visiting artists.
30+ RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES + PLAY 🎯
A sanctuary can be restorative without being serious all the time. More than 30 recreation, creative and play activities are woven throughout the property, including mini-golf, bowling, basketball, archery, art-making, games and other opportunities to move, compete, laugh and experiment.
MOUNTAIN VIEWS + SUNSETS 🌄
The property opens toward panoramic mountain views and expansive desert-valley skies, creating a constantly changing natural backdrop. Late afternoon turns into vivid sunsets behind the mountains, making the land especially beautiful for movement, meals, meditation, photography and simply sitting still.
STARGAZING + NIGHT SKY 🔭
After sunset, the experience changes again. Darker valley skies create opportunities for moon watching and stargazing, with a professional-grade telescope available for closer views of the night sky during selected experiences.
WILDLIFE + HABITAT 🦋
Creative Soul Sanctuary is a Certified Wildlife Habitat through the National Wildlife Federation, and ecological restoration is part of the larger vision for the land. Birds, butterflies, hummingbirds and other wildlife share the property as native plants, trees, water and habitat areas continue to mature.
